The Piedmont Triad Education Consortium is a collaboration of fifteen K-12 public school districts and seventeen higher education institutions in central North Carolina. Consortium members have created a climate in which the strengths of each agency have joined together to become the power of one committed educational community.

2015-2016

Dear Piedmont Educator:

Welcome to our PTEC website!

Our PTEC staff has been busy planning for an outstanding year of professional development offerings, primarily for our teachers and secondarily for our administrators. Once again, we have a blend of North Carolina presenters on such topics as Measuring Rigor, Engaging and Empowering Students, Use of Technology in the Elementary Classroom, and Small Group Instruction. National presenters will provide professional development on such topics as Scheduling, Literacy, Grading Practices, and Teaching with Poverty in Mind. Finally, as a result of surveying our senior curriculum leaders, PTEC, in collaboration with the Department of Public Instruction, will offer workshops on English-Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, the Multi-Tiered System of Support, Home Base-Digital Teaching and Learning, and Kindergarten Entry Assessment.

Please see our calendar of events and select those professional development offerings which will most benefit your professional growth. Many of you have made suggestions for presenters and, based on presenter availability, we have scheduled them for the Piedmont.

Join us for our professional development offerings planned just for you.

Sincerely

Larry D. Coble, Ed.D

Executive Director
