Problem solving consists of many strategies, such as guess & check, make an organized list, look for patterns, work backwards, etc. The model drawing strategies are adapted from the Singapore math curriculum, which focuses on moving students from the concrete level to the pictorial level to the abstract level, reinforcing students’ visualization & understanding of math concepts & processes. |
