The Piedmont Triad Education Consortium is a collaboration of fifteen K-12 public school districts and seventeen higher education institutions in central North Carolina. Consortium members have created a climate in which the strengths of each agency have joined together to become the power of one committed educational community.

2011-2012

Dear Piedmont Educator:

For the 2011-2012 school year we will continue with our professional development offerings as we make a strong effort to increase the number of nationally recognized presenters even in these difficult budget times. We will continue to maintain North Carolina presenters who are in high demand and who have received positive evaluations from those of you in our PTEC member districts.

An exciting new partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction will enable us to collaborate on a number of initiatives around each district’s Scope of Work under Race To The Top. PTEC will jointly sponsor a series of meetings for district leadership teams as well as a minimum of five days of professional development for teachers and administrators.

As you peruse the calendar of events and professional development offerings on our web site, we encourage you to take advantage of those activities which will most benefit your professional growth. In addition to the content that will be provided in all of our PTEC sessions by attending you can engage in an outstanding networking opportunity with your colleagues in our region.

My Warmest Personal Regards,

Larry D. Coble, Executive Director
